A Saskatchewan native, Ricky is the driver for one of North America’s top professional storm chasing teams and star of the show Tornado Hunters on Netflix. When not hunting tornadoes, you will find Ricky exploring our beautiful earth and pursuing the next biggest adventure he can get his hands on. Calling Saskatoon home, Ricky stays busy as a co-owner at Blue Moose Media - a local social media training and consulting agency.

Andrea Fontaine has had a passion for the arts for the majority of her life. She began dancing at the age of 3 and is trained in a variety of styles. She has been a member of Abiding Lines Dance Company for 5 years and with them has completed 4 shows, and had the opportunity to perform at numerous events. In 2015 Andrea attended “Camp Kate” in Chicago and won the choreography review. She was then invited to assist with choreographer Kate Jablonski in Liverpool, England. She currently teaches in Saskatoon & Lanigan, and has received multiple awards for her choreography.

Jordana is a multiple award-winning entrepreneur. She was most recently presented the YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Entrepreneurship. Though her businesses CRAVINGS maternity-baby-kids, Ryan + Layla apparel, and Entrepreneur306 keep her busy, she is equally devoted to her family, fitness, and community. Jordana is a National bikini competitor, having placed top 3 in Canada at her National competitions. Jordana volunteers for a number of community and charitable organizations and events.

Jonathon Pickrell is an actor/dancer from Saskatoon. He recently graduated with a BFA in drama from the University of Saskatchewan. His recent credits include Cabaret, The Illusion, Bronte (Greystone Theatre) Sextet 1 and 2 (Write in the Kisser Productions) and Happily Ever After (Inspired Movement). Jonathon has MC'd some of Saskatchewan's biggest dance competitions and is currently dancing with bsoFlo company. Jonathon is thrilled to be back for another year of Swinging with the Stars and can't wait to see what all the performers bring!

Emergency Measures, Saskatoon Fire Department
A second generation firefighter, Deb has been with the Saskatoon Fire Department for almost 25 years; she is a Primary Care Paramedic and currently holds the position of Emergency Measures Coordinator. Deb is an enthusiastic fundraiser with a strong commitment to Saskatoon’s amazing community. She is actively involved in various fundraising campaigns, and is a co-founder of 100 Women Who Care Emergency Services YXE. Deb is very excited to participate in Swinging with the Stars! Even though she has absolutely no dancing background, she found it impossible to decline participation due the amazing goal of this event. “It is hard to find a person in our society that has not been affected by a breast health issue. I lost an amazing human being in 2016 to breast cancer and I am committed to providing whatever assistance to the Saskatoon Breast Health Centre I can. On January 26th I will be dancing for Karen.”
Deb's partner is Stephanie
Stephanie Cowan grew up in Lloydmonster dancing and competing from a young age. Introduced to the world of hip-hop in her early teens, Stephanie began choreographing locally by age 15. As a dancer and choreographer Stephanie has trained across North America, from Broadway Dance Centre and New York City to Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver, BC. She continues to train under some of the industry’s best. Steph teaches hip-hop at Brenda’s School of Baton & Dance, as well as co-direct BSOBAD’s hip-hop crews bsoFlo Varsity and bsoFlo Co. Through her teaching Stephanie strives to instill a passion for dance, the pursuit of excellence and the value of hard work.

Dr. Kabir Virdi
Dr. Virdi was born and raised in Saskatoon. He completed his undergraduate dental training at the University of Saskatchewan in 2003. After graduation, he served three years as a general dentist with the rank of captain at National Defense Headquarters in Ottawa, Canada. In 2006, Dr. Virdi retired from the military to pursue specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL where he graduated in 2010. Dr. Virdi currently works at Saskatoon Oral Surgery and is also the course director of undergraduate oral and maxillofacial surgery, local anesthesia and pain control, and basic internal medicine at the University Of Saskatchewan College Of Dentistry.
Kabir's partner is Katie
Katie Bergen was born and raised in Saskatoon and began dancing competitively at a very young age at Sitter School of Dance. Training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre as well as other various disciplines. Throughout her years competing, she has received numerous awards and prestigious scholarships. Katie is excited to join the Swinging with the Stars team this year and can’t wait to get out on that stage!

Canadian Curler, Co-Owner Coldwell Banker Signature
Sherri has had much success in her athletic career, competing in 19 ladies provincial Scotties Championships, capturing the provincial crown 4 times, achieving 4th place at all of the National Scotties Championship appearances, as well as being named all-star second at the competitions. She has competed at the Canadian Olympic Curling Trials vying to represent Canada at the 2006, 2010, and 2014 Olympics, capturing bronze in 2005. Career wise, she completed her real estate license in 2014 and has since become the broker and co-owner of Coldwell Banker Signature, alongside her husband Randy Singler. Sherri is very excited and honored to be a part of SWTS 2019, and will use her athleticism and energy to "Count Em Up" for the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation!

Brogan Beechinor has had the honour of travelling around the world and training under many disciplines over his years of dancing. He began at a studio and grew outward, teaching and coaching both competitively and recreationally. He has completed exams in ADAPT Jazz and RAD Ballet in his dance training. Judging Pom/Dance now over the past 2 years has opened his perspective into different dimensions of dance. Brogan is currently a Head Coach of the University of Saskatchewan Dance Team. He is looking forward to being part of Swinging with the Stars and is always excited to dance for a good cause!

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Darren has been a serial entrepreneur all his life. He is a Life Member of the POW City Kinsmen Club and has served on the Executive Board of Directors for Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation as well as the Provincial and National Board of Directors for Kin Canada. He was featured on CTV's "100 People, 100 Reasons" celebrating Saskatoon's Centennial. Darren is a Certified Financial Planner and Health Specialist with Sun Life Financial and is recognized in the Financial Services Industries as a Member of the Million Dollar Roundtable which represents the Top 1% of Financial Planners from around the world. Darren is also an international professional speaker having appeared on stages around the world. Darren just celebrated being 10 years CANCER FREE. At his diagnosis, his daughter Hanna wrote a letter to Santa that year asking Santa to make her dad feel better. Darren and his family used Hanna's letter as the inspiration for their published children's book, "Hanna's Letter". Darren and his family regularly support several charities in Saskatoon.

Jacqueline Block is a Saskatoon based actor, singer and dancer. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a BFA: Acting and from the Globe Theatre Conservatory. She is the recipient of the 2015 SATA for Outstanding Emerging Artist. Recent performance credits include: Mamma Mia, The Little Mermaid, Much Ado About Nothing (Globe Theatre); Hamlet, Merry Wives of Windsor, J. Caesar, Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan); Pride and Prejudice, Mary Poppins, The 25th . . . Spelling Bee, Mary’s Wedding (Persephone Theatre); Mary Poppins (Western Canada Theatre); Displaced (Ground Cover Theatre/Live Five/Singapore Fringe); The Frenzy of Queen Maeve (Bzzt! Trap Door Theatre/Live Five). Choreography credits include: Cabaret (Greystone Theatre); Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan). Working at Cheetham’s Pharmacy Tammi has found her passion working with personal care homes and seniors. Improving the quality of life of seniors is of upmost importance to her and being able to experience life through the eyes of those seniors has empowered Tammi to live her life to the fullest. Last year she was in the spotlight when her tent caterpillar video went viral and she was referred to as the worm lady! Swinging with the Stars is something she just knew that she had to. Not only can she give something back to the medical community, but she gets to have fun doing it!
Tammi's partner is Cole
Cole Chorney originally from Nipawin, Saskatchewan, he grew up dancing with local clubs, his biggest focus on Ukrainian dance. More recently, Cole has had the honour of dancing professionally for more than 9 years with the Yevshan Ukrainian Folk Ensemble located in Saskatoon having the opportunity to perform throughout Canada and gracing the international stage in places such as Ukraine, Cuba, Croatia and more. In addition to his specialty in Ukrainian Dance he has studied in area such as ballet, jazz, acro and contemporary. Today Cole finds himself teaching with his wife, Meagan at their award winning dance school, Bravo Dance Co. in Martensville, SK. Together they are able to share their talents and passion with the communities of Martensville, Saskatoon and the surrounding areas.

Martin is no stranger to the hospitality industry. His passion for the industry brought him to Saskatoon in 2015 to take on General Manager of the Delta Bessborough – and an iconic property in the Delta portfolio, and in the city of Saskatoon. Today, he is a successful and accomplished industry professional with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and service industry. Equipped with a strong work ethic, his career has taken him all across Canada. Martin enjoys golfing, boating, crossfit, hiking and skiing along with his wife Jen, who is also an expert in the hospitality industry. To complement his appreciation for fine wine, he also has a level one certification in sommelier.

Sacha Favel is a current elite dancer of the Danza Morena Shine Team and has represented Saskatoon and Canada in the International Calgary Salsa Congress, Winnipeg Salsa Fest, International Saskatchewan Salsa & Bachata Congress and the Los Angeles Salsa Congress. Since she first begin her dance journey over ten years ago, she has received professional dance training and has attended workshops delivered from Omar & Amelia Munoz of Omambo Dance Project, BNF Dance Company, Paulina Posadas from Mexico, Manuel Dos Santos (Dr. Kizomba) from Angola, Flavie Merise from Haiti to name a few. Sacha loves social dancing and is very much looking forward to performing with her partner to help support her community’s initiative to raise funds for the Breast Health Centre at Saskatoon City Hospital.
